Authors and poets who submitted original materials to Central California Poetry Journal retain all rights to their original work, except that Solo Publications is authorized by the authors and poets who submitted poems or articles to this journal to publish their submittals in this journal on the Internet and/or in a printed edition of the Central California Poetry Journal.
The Journal is not accepting submittals at this time. Due to a substantial increase in the number of submittals that were not related to either our subject matter or to our subject area, we ceased to publish new editions after 2003.
The Journal no longer accepts poems, articles, letters, or editorials relating to Central California or to any other subject matter.
The following criteria were used to determine whether or not poems submitted were posted in The Central California Poetry Journal:
Poems published concerned the Central California region. Poems concerning nature, the environment, the landform, the flora, the fauna and the people of Central California were preferred. We sought poetry which was indigenous to the region.
The pages we dedicated to specific poets included a biography of the poet's work. We requested that all submittals include a brief biography advising us of the residential location and background of the poet. We accepted the work of poets who did not reside in Central California, however poetry unrelated to our subject area was not accepted.
Poems had to be suitable for people of all ages.
We required that poetry copyrighted by any party other than the author be accompanied by written permission from the holder of the copyright.
Only poems submitted electronically as e-mail were accepted. Attached files were not opened.
Solo Publications is grateful for the many poets who submitted poems to the Central California Poetry Journal from 1996 through 2003.
If there is sufficient interest, Solo Publications would consider placing the arcvhive on-line once again. Persons intersted in contacting Solopublications may do so through our website at: www.solopublications.com
